High School Athletes NEED Strength Coaches

Over the last 6 months we have been able to build an entire Strength, Speed and Conditioning Program for Tracy High Football. This wouldn't be possible without the help from all of the Head Coaches, Staff, and Booster Program. Growing up in Tracy, attending Tracy High myself, and now operating a training facility in town, it has always been a dream to offer my services and help to the community that paved the way for my career as a Coach.

A program like this had never been implemented before, off season training is always reliant on the sport coaches themselves who are already limited by time and resources. We cant expect coaches to put together practice and game schedules, playbooks, manage student athletes, and on top of that create training programs to support the long term development of their athletes! This is why it is CRUCIAL for High School Programs to have Qualified Strength Coaches taking charge in the weight room, managing sprint and speed volume, mitigate injuries and rehab athletes back to the field, and ultimately give sport coaches more time to run effective football practices and give our athletes more tools to be successful on the field when it matters most.
JV and Varsity Athletes began training back in January of 2024 and eclipsed more than 125 training sessions through the end of July. Our schedule has been 4 days in the weight room plus sprinting and speed work 2-3 times each week. We are testing Vertical and Broad Jumps, baseline Strength Metrics, and we even hosted a Mini Combine before Spring Camp where we tested Max Speed and Velocity, Broad Jumps and 40 yard dash times. Compiling and tracking data for 6 months has now given us everything we need to design our program for the 2025 year and beyond. Freshman athletes were also brought into the weight room for the first time in school history and were able to train all throughout their Spring and Summer Camps.
Student Athletes like football players deserve to be strong, healthy and fast. That responsibility falls on someone passionate about serving and helping others. This is bigger than X's and O's, it is about giving young athletes tools to be great not only on the field but in life! Thank you to the boys from Tracy High for taking me in and making me a part of the family, once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog! I'd also like to thank Coach Pribble and the Boosters for all of your support, and Coach Yerian for starting a conversation last year, the rest of the story is still being written......stay tuned!
